My 1950′s Laptop
Happy Friday! Usually I start off my morning with TGIF! But really this week wasn’t half bad…in fact it was kinda fun. It sure helps when you take a day off in the middle of the week. It’s like a mini weekend :) As you read in the Wednesday blog, we did some leap day antiquing in Jenks which is just outside Tulsa, OK. Aaaaand, if you remember I picked up a beautiful heart-melting gem. It was literally like a dream come true. I had pictured myself stumbling into it in some obscure antique shop in the middle of nowhere. But, you know, deep down you know not to keep your hopes up. Scott and I were wandering down adjacent aisles and when we came to the end…there it was! I swear there was a beam of light shining down on it. And it had a label that said 1950′s Laptop! We both gasped {really, LOL} We found it! A 1950′s Turquoise Smith-Corona Typewriter!!! ♥

Isn’t it fantastic? Do you understand why I wanted to put off the surprise? Believe me, I wanted to post it as soon as I got home but it was dark out and I had to give it the justice it deserves. And the best thing about it, it works! All it needs is some re-inking on the ribbon {no sticky keys!}. ♥ It’s funny how such a simple thing can brighten one’s day. Have you been antiquing lately? Maybe picked up something off craigslist or etsy? Tell me what you got in the comment section below! Or if you just want to leave some typewriter love, that’s okay too.
