Wedding ~ Jeff ♥ Emily
Happy Friday friends! We have a fabulous wedding to share. This couple is so much fun and they picked some great locations here in town. With no further ado, Jeff & Emily just tied the knot! You may remember this cute couple from their fun lakeside engagement session. How pretty neat are her shoes!?

The wedding party got ready in the beautifully old Atherton Hotel located on campus. The day was warm and sunny and it was fun watching the dress dancing around in the breeze. Seems like even the dress is having a fun time!

It was so much fun hanging out with the girls as they got ready. You can tell how close they are. And the invitations were really great! There is a pocket where you can pull out the RSVP card, map, and info.

The lovely flower bouquets that had enormous lilies and the delicate rosy boutonnieres were created by Colonial Florists. I must say everyone was just in good spirits and was just happy to celebrate Jeff & Emily’s union.

I love this shot when Jeff gives his Mom a hug before he went off to be photographed with his best buddies. So sweet! Emily’s hair and make-up were beautifully done by Joy of FringeClass Hair Company. I’ve worked with joy on several weddings and she is amazing! Oh and Emily wore her grandma’s vintage pearl necklace, it just completed the classic look.

It was so much fun working with this group of guys and girls. The boys looked extra sharp in their grey suits and the girls looked super classy in their black dresses.

I love first glance photos! But these two made their meeting extra meaningful with a gift exchange. ♥

The guests gathered at this wonderful outdoor location right behind Old Central. The aisle was lined with lanterns and petals.

I love the spot they picked for their ceremony! I bet after seeing Jeff & Emily’s ceremony, future brides will consider this alternative for a campus wedding. Especially when it’s really outside. It was mesmerizing watching them get married under these old arching trees with the oldest building on campus looming in the background.

I like that they incorporated the signing of the license into the ceremony, I guess that way everyone gets to be a witness. After the ceremony Jeff & Emily led the crowd over to a stately terrace, literally! The whole crowd marched behind and these newlyweds led the way to the reception! Fantastic! I’m sure to passersby it was a sight to see!

The guests sure had fun leaving the couple warm and loving messages on their old-style guestbook, a scroll on a vintage typewriter! How clever is that?!

Oh the food at the reception was to die for! It tasted as good as it looks I assure you! Emily’s mom gathered a group of her girlfriends who actually love making good food and it was absolutely delicious!

No one can refuse a refreshing orange soda as a wedding favour! The reception was alot of fun. Guests mingled while enjoying the wonderful spread. Some even played rock paper sissors, lol!

It was fun walking around to the different tables and checking out the black white photos used as centerpieces. Some were of Jeff and Emily while others were parent’s and grandparent’s wedding photos. Nice touch!

It was really sweet what Jeff and Emily did for Jeff’s Grandparents’. And these two are a fun and funny couple to hang out with! It just so happened that Jeff and Emily got married on their 44th wedding anniversary. So, a special cake was presented to them to cut and share! Yay, more cake!

Check out the killer grooms cake. For the uninitiated, this is a paddle used at the football games by those crazy guys that paint their bodies and jeer the opposing team {aka Jeff, LOL}. And this one of a kind amazing chocolate cake was made by Jeff’s sister, Caitlin. Good job! Those little footballs of chocolate covered strawberries were yummy too! Mmmmm…

And the cake…the cake! A bavarian cream with do it yourself fresh raspberry sauce from Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery, seconds please! This has to be one of the best cakes I have ever had at a wedding so far, yes I couldn’t resist having a piece! This next photo is funny and super cute at the same time…the toasting seemed a little bit challenging on which way the hands go.

Once the party wound down, the guests lined up with sparklers ready. As the sparks started flying Jeff and Emily ran through the glowing alley with zeal! …and promptly turned around to run back through…and back again! I can’t blame them really, it isn’t everyday that you get to run through a rain of sparks in your best attire. Awesome!

Well congratulations Jeff & Emily, we are so grateful to be part of your special day! And this isn’t it! Head on over to view the slideshow on the Event Page for more photos of Jeff & Emily’s wedding!
