Wedding ~ Jeff ♥ Emily

Happy Friday friends! We have a fabulous wedding to share. This couple is so much fun and they picked some great locations here in town. With no further ado, Jeff & Emily just tied the knot! You may remember this cute couple from their fun lakeside engagement session. How pretty neat are her shoes!?

The wedding party got ready in the beautifully old Atherton Hotel located on campus. The day was warm and sunny and it was fun watching the dress dancing around in the breeze. Seems like even the dress is having a fun time!

It was so much fun hanging out with the girls as they got ready. You can tell how close they are. And the invitations were really great! There is a pocket where you can pull out the RSVP card, map, and info.

The lovely flower bouquets that had enormous lilies and the delicate rosy boutonnieres were created by Colonial Florists. I must say everyone was just in good spirits and was just happy to celebrate Jeff & Emily’s union.

I love this shot when Jeff gives his Mom a hug before he went off to be photographed with his best buddies. So sweet! Emily’s hair and make-up were beautifully done by Joy of FringeClass Hair Company. I’ve worked with joy on several weddings and she is amazing! Oh and Emily wore her grandma’s vintage pearl necklace, it just completed the classic look.

It was so much fun working with this group of guys and girls. The boys looked extra sharp in their grey suits and the girls looked super classy in their black dresses.

I love first glance photos! But these two made their meeting extra meaningful with a gift exchange. ♥

The guests gathered at this wonderful outdoor location right behind Old Central. The aisle was lined with lanterns and petals.

I love the spot they picked for their ceremony! I bet after seeing Jeff & Emily’s ceremony, future brides will consider this alternative for a campus wedding. Especially when it’s really outside. It was mesmerizing watching them get married under these old arching trees with the oldest building on campus looming in the background.

I like that they incorporated the signing of the license into the ceremony, I guess that way everyone gets to be a witness. After the ceremony Jeff & Emily led the crowd over to a stately terrace, literally! The whole crowd marched behind and these newlyweds led the way to the reception! Fantastic! I’m sure to passersby it was a sight to see!

The guests sure had fun leaving the couple warm and loving messages on their old-style guestbook, a scroll on a vintage typewriter! How clever is that?!

Oh the food at the reception was to die for! It tasted as good as it looks I assure you! Emily’s mom gathered a group of her girlfriends who actually love making good food and it was absolutely delicious!

No one can refuse a refreshing orange soda as a wedding favour! The reception was alot of fun. Guests mingled while enjoying the wonderful spread. Some even played rock paper sissors, lol!

It was fun walking around to the different tables and checking out the black white photos used as centerpieces. Some were of Jeff and Emily while others were parent’s and grandparent’s wedding photos. Nice touch!

It was really sweet what Jeff and Emily did for Jeff’s Grandparents’. And these two are a fun and funny couple to hang out with! It just so happened that Jeff and Emily got married on their 44th wedding anniversary. So, a special cake was presented to them to cut and share! Yay, more cake!

Check out the killer grooms cake. For the uninitiated, this is a paddle used at the football games by those crazy guys that paint their bodies and jeer the opposing team {aka Jeff, LOL}. And this one of a kind amazing chocolate cake was made by Jeff’s sister, Caitlin. Good job! Those little footballs of chocolate covered strawberries were yummy too! Mmmmm…

And the cake…the cake! A bavarian cream with do it yourself fresh raspberry sauce from Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery, seconds please! This has to be one of the best cakes I have ever had at a wedding so far, yes I couldn’t resist having a piece! This next photo is funny and super cute at the same time…the toasting seemed a little bit challenging on which way the hands go.

Once the party wound down, the guests lined up with sparklers ready. As the sparks started flying Jeff and Emily ran through the glowing alley with zeal! …and promptly turned around to run back through…and back again! I can’t blame them really, it isn’t everyday that you get to run through a rain of sparks in your best attire. Awesome!

Well congratulations Jeff & Emily, we are so grateful to be part of your special day! And this isn’t it! Head on over to view the slideshow on the Event Page for more photos of Jeff & Emily’s wedding!

Sneak Peek: Wedding ~ Jeff ♥ Emily

Happy Wednesday folks! We’re excited to share this quick peek into the wedding we photographed on Saturday. You may remember them from their romantic Lakeside Engagement. Well, this charming couple just got hitched! Meet Jeff & Emily. ♥ The wedding party got ready in the beautiful Atherton Hotel here in town. Emily’s gorgeous hair piece was made by her mom and aunt. She looks so happy and amazing!

Jeff and Emily decided on doing a first glance and took the opportunity to exchange gifts as well! How sweet! You can truly see how in love this couple is! ♥

This dashing couple was married against the majesty of the historic old central building on campus under a canopy of trees. The decorations were kept elegant and simple with lanterns and petals lining the aisle. It was magical!

The wedding overall had a relaxed but elegant feel. {not something easy to do!} Jeff and Emily used their wedding colours orange, black and gray quite cleverly. The girls looked classic in their black fitted dresses and and of course Emily is absolutely radiant!

Don’t the boys looked smart in their suits?! After the ceremony Jeff and Emily, with the crowd in tow {literally!}, wandered over to a stately terrace. Doesn’t it look like so much fun?!

Congratulations you two! Make sure you come back in two weeks to see more wonderful details of their day and photos of this lovely couple. Happy Hump day!

Brent & Devin ~ A Lakeside Engagement

Happy Friday Everyone! If you remember, two weeks ago we took photos of this gorgeous couple: Brent and Devin. ♥ Oklahoma weather has been so confusing lately! We really had no idea what to expect while planning out the photoshoot…so we planned for everything. The only props we brought were umbrellas and rain boots, just in case. As you will see, we didn’t need any of that but it worked out great!

We let Brent and Devin’s love for each other and the location set the mood. Ah they looked so good together! I love how they giggle at each other’s jokes and how happy they are just enjoying each other’s company. It was pleasant and relaxing just walking around the lake snapping shots around the blooming dogwood trees. Well, Brent and Devin originally met October of 4 years ago at a party held by a mutual friend. They bumped into each other several more times before finding themselves by happy accident at a New Year’s Eve Party together. It was on New Year’s Eve that they shared their first kiss. ♥

Brent & Devin’s serendipitous meetings continued sporadically and it wasn’t until Devin moved to town that they found themselves hanging out all the time…they’ve been together ever since. I guess there is something to that New Year’s superstition. True love may just come to find you {and at the stroke of midnight!}. So, the clouds rolled in but at least it was still bright out and not too windy. These lovebirds are a fun laid back couple, so it was easy to just stop at a rock wall or the large deck and get some great photos. The ducks floated by, the geese flew overhead, and it felt like the day was leaving us alone to be ourselves.

Before losing too much light, we hopped over to the University to get a couple more photos in Brent’s full dress blues. I always like the look of Old Central, the oldest building on campus. Brent couldn’t be more handsome but adding Devin in her adorable printed dress just makes my heart melt. ♥

They’re getting hitched this October and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding! :) You can check out more photos in the slideshow on their Event Page. And there’ll be a new engagement sneak peek on Monday, so be sure to check back! Have a lovely weekend!

Sneak Peek: Engagement ~ Brent & Devin

Happy Monday! Wow, what a crazy weekend! We spent last week preparing for an engagement shoot on Saturday and a Bridal Show on Sunday. Based on weather reports earlier on in the week, we told Brent & Devin to bring rain boots and umbrellas and we were hyping ourselves up for a rainy day engagement. But then mother nature pulled the ol’ switcharoo on us: Saturday ended up cloudy and mild and the Bridal show got soaked! Well, no complaints here! It gave us a more relaxed shoot at the lake and their Alma mater. Meet Brent & Devin!

Isn’t Devin so gorgeous and Brent so handsome!? They looked so perfect together! ♥

It really was relaxed and I could tell they put their all into the photos which always really helps. And who doesn’t like a guy in uniform? Make sure to check back in two weeks for their full e-session {I can’t wait!}. Happy Monday y’all! :)
