Heath ♥ Haley | Meno Wedding Photography
Happy Sunday y’all! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! We’re so excited about this wedding that we’ve been working into the weekend because we couldn’t wait any longer to post it. Heath and Haley recently got hitched at The Home Place Country Estate in Meno, OK and we’re so glad that they picked us to capture their beautiful barn wedding.

I love the classic shape and ruffles on Haley’s wedding gown from The Bridal Shop. And I thought it was cool that The Home Place has this fun little split trailer for the girls and boys to get ready in.

Haley’s wedding shoes were fabulous…Toms! And they were pretty lacey ones! I always think it’s a great idea to wear a fun pair of flats on your wedding day. No bride wants to be nursing sore feet on their special day!

Miranda from Patton’s Hair Salon did all the girls hair giving them dynamite do’s! I love that she gave Haley some delightul golden curls!

Heath is currently going to med-school in the Bahamas and it was actually in that beautiful country that he surprised Haley by popping the question. Haley hadn’t seen Heath for a whole month, so she decided to fly down to St. Charles to visit. Little did she know, Heath was planning out the proposal with his friend. So one day he had his friend plant the ring inside of a large sea shell on the beach…

When they came upon the shell, he told Haley to go take a look at it. She was afraid at what might be inside so kicked it over with her foot. To her surprise it was a ring. At that moment Heath got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She never saw it coming and said YES of course! Don’t they look so great together?! Haley makes an absolutely gorgeous bride and Heath looked quite dashing in his suit!

One of the DIY details on this wedding was actually all the bouquets and centerpieces! Lilies were bought wholesale from Greenleaf Florist and put together by Heath and Haley’s moms. I think they did an awesome job to think they had to put everything together that morning to keep them fresh. The flowers, cool crisp air, and sunshine almost made me feel like I was at a Spring wedding! The girls were so fun and adorable. I like how their choice of black and gold as wedding colours set the tone of a classy wedding and contrasting it with this cool rustic location made it really fun.

Heath and all the boys together looked really sharp in their tuxes also from The Bridal Shop. And I love that there is an old brick silo on the property!

The Home Place is a brand new venue here in Oklahoma and it was a real treat to be one of the first to photograph a wedding here. We totally lucked out on the weather because it was a bright, sunny and warm day which can be rare for the middle of December. The actual ceremony was still held inside though since the evenings are very cold.

Strings of hundreds of lights were draped over the ceiling which gave a friendly cozy feel. They also rented a set of french doors from Donna’s Wedding Rental to set the space apart. I love the atmosphere and like that they kept it simple.

The wedding cake from Bev’s Cakes has a great clean design. Don’t worry, the cake topper was on backwards on purpose as a joke, lol! And enough cupcakes to last through the night! I love the lit up cake and bar signs made by Heath himself. He’s quite a handy guy! I’m always so impressed when the groom helps out with the DIY details.

Jim Hunt from A&J Mobile DeeJay kept the party going with some killer dance hits! And I’ve never seen country dancing as lively as the folks at this reception! It was a blast!

Congrats Heath and Haley! We’re so glad that you chose us to capture your special day and celebrate your wedding with you. It was wonderful meeting you and your families. Make sure to stop by their Client Site and check out the slideshow for more photos. Enjoy the weekend!
