Happy Mother’s Day! I have the perfect post for all you mom’s out there. If you’re not a mom you need to check this out anyway because these photos are so darn precious! Welcome to Henry’s whimsical woodsy wonderland! Celebrating his very first birthday perfectly situated amongst the trees of the park.
I almost died when I saw the bird and toadstool cupcakes! Kelli special ordered them from Cake Crazy here in town and they fit perfectly into Henry’s woodsy birthday theme. And they were delicious too! I couldn’t resist snatching a toadstool because I love Cake Crazy’s red velvet.
Fruit kabobs! Awesome idea mom. All of Henry’s favourite snacks for everyone to share were placed among his forest friends. Henry’s mom and dad kept the affair close knit by inviting only close family. It made the day that much more extra special for Henry. We felt honored to be included in this milestone in Henry’s life.
Everyone got their very own mason jar for ice tea with their name. Kelli even made ones for us. Thanks again Kelli for including us in Henry’s special day! The family cut and tied each strip to make this fabulous bunting. (If you don’t know we have a special place in our hearts for bunting.) Kelli is such a creative mom!
Time to party! The table is set with an amazing spread of goodies, the multicoloured balloons are tied and the family is all here! Happy Birthday Henry!
Make a wish! Put into his birthday throne, Henry was given his very own giant lemon cupcake! Mmmmm…
It looks like Henry liked his cupcake, lol. He made sure to lick the plate clean! Time for presents! Henry’s Dad, two big brothers, and cousins came to help!
There are many firsts for Henry for his first year but I bet riding the slide by himself was on the top of his list! Weeee! And the rest of the kids played the afternoon away riding around the park. It was so much fun that even Grandpa joined in!
Worn out from sliding with mom and dad. Henry took a break and had a blast being pushed and pulled through a magical wonderland of bubbly fun.
Happy Birthday Henry! I want my next birthday party to be this fun and creative! Make sure you check out more birthday goodness in the slideshow on the Event Page. Give your Mom or the closest one available a hug today!

Good Morning Folks! I hope you’re enjoying this beautifully warm Saturday morning {for us southern staters atleast
}. We hung out with a fun and energetic family on an equally nice Saturday two weekends ago. I have some great photos to inspire you to get off your butt and venture out to your nearest park.
Rachael’s brother rocked out at the park with his newest love, the bass, while Rachael’s daughter Annabelle couldn’t be torn away from her colourful markers!
We first met Joel and Rachael when she asked us to take her engagement photos. It’s so wonderful seeing the blossoming of this beautiful little family. You can feel the love for sweet Annabelle. ♥
You definitely can’t fully enjoy a park on a warm spring day without a sweet little girl in a pink dress running around and laughing in the sun. I can’t get over her big doll eyes!
Motherly love…♥
For more family fun head on over to their slideshow on the Event Page. Have fun today!

Happy Wednesday Folks! We had a wedding out of town this weekend but when we were asked to come to this cute-as-a-button kiddo’s birthday party we just couldn’t refuse! Especially since we’ve been there from this little bean’s beginning. Happy Birthday Henry!
Kelli is always one for details. Birds, squirrels, and owls all adorned Henry’s woodland theme birthday. Awesome Job Mom! And the cupcakes from Cake Crazy were super delicious! And so adorable, I’ll post more next time.
Awww I love the photo above. So sweet! It was an extra special birthday party with just close family. Aunts, uncles, grandpa, grandmas, and cousins all came together to play and celebrate!
Come back in two weeks for more adorable pics to awww over and see the aftermath of Henry’s birthday cupcake. Later dudes!

Happy Monday! Well, it’s been a while since we’ve posted a family shoot since we’ve been so caught up in engagements and weddings lately. But we squeezed Rachael and her family in because Joel & Rachael will always have a special place in our heart as one of our earlier engaged couples. ♥ I’m so glad to see her and her family so happy with their newest member: sweet baby Annabelle.
Of course Annabelle can’t get away from her mom and dad’s sweet kisses! I love her expression! ♥ And it was great to finally meet Rachael’s talented brother and kind parents. Stop on by in two weeks to see more family fun. Enjoy your week!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m so happy to be saying this back here in the States with Scott! I hope your year is turning out to be filled with exciting opportunities. We are so excited ourselves and I’m happy to share with you our first session of the year! Meet Paige’s family. Paige is a hypnotherapist here in town; her husband, Chris, is an engineer/inventor; and their daughter Harleigh is enjoying high school life. Don’t they sound like such a fun family to know? Well, they are!
For a January winter day, it was beautiful. It was cold in the shade but it was easy enough to warm up in the ample sun. They brought their dogs: Honey, Kona, and Babe. One for each of them! These pups were so fun and playful and you could tell they liked getting out that day.
Paige and her family wanted to bring something to the shoot that they all have in common…an iPad! What a unique and creative idea. They each own an iPad and on evenings when they want to relax they all take them out to play or catch up with friends. This family is so fun to hang out with so we decided to be a bit silly with them, LOL.
It was a very pleasant Saturday to be out, especially for January! We were so lucky to be spending it with such a nice and wonderful family. Thanks for stopping by and remember to head on over to their Event Page for more fun family photos! See you again here on Friday!

Happy Monday Everyone! This year is looking to be full of some really fun and creative photo sessions! And we’re starting it off with some family photos! Paige, Chris, and Harleigh were a blast to photograph. I love their household rule: You’re in trouble if you’re not having fun!
And of course they brought along the rest of the family…their 3 adorable puppies, from left to right: Honey, Kona, and Babe ♥ They’re so cute and very energetic too!
They have such a beautiful family! Paige is pretty relaxed and calm, Chris is actually very smart, and Harleigh is pretty cute and laid-back herself. ♥
These three actually like goofing around with their iPads. They laze around at home Facebooking or messaging each other.
It was cool and breezy but luckily the sun came out to play and we all had fun (we didn’t want to get in trouble, lol). And as usual, make sure to stop by again in two weeks for the full photo session up on the blog. Have a great one!

Happiest Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? I hope you guys had time to relax and enjoy. I have this fun family session to share with you and it’s a big group this time which makes it even more fun. Meet Jennifer’s family. From L to R, that’s her husband Jeff, their little Ainsley, Jennifer, her mom Clara, her dad Howard, her brother Greg, and up front is Grayson her eldest, then Kennedy. And yes you can tell how cold it is…Kennedy felt pretty cold but still all smiles!
These folks just shrugged the dreary chilly weather that day. The kids could not be anymore ecstatic and playful! Did I mention that her kids are so smart and creative!? Grayson, realizing that most of the leaves have fallen to the ground, thought he could bring back more fall-y feeling to the tree branches by using the baby’s blanket which also has leaves. Plus, since he’s a boy scout, he thinks tents are pretty cool and I agree
It was wonderful that Clara and Howard were able to join the shoot. I think the kids had so much fun spending quality time with them. Jennifer and Jeff are such a sweet couple and they are so blessed to have 3 lovely kiddos.
Ainsley ran around in tippy toes and enjoyed falling on the bed of leaves. At one point she looked up to me and I know she was trying to be funny…she had a leaf in her mouth and started nibbling the stem and she liked that it was moving and tickling her face. She even ditched her shoes to enjoy whatever is left of the fall season. So cuuuuute!
We all had so much fun together that it almost felt like it was a fine sunny day. It was such a nice experience having to spend time with a bigger family given that for the most part it’s mainly just Scott and I. Anyway, don’t forget to hop on to their Event Page for more fun family photos! Tata for now and have a good week!

It’s not very often I get to say this to my internet friends but Happy Tuesday everyone! We’ve been so jammed packed with photo sessions this fall that I’m having to squeeze this post in on a Tuesday.
I wish I had medals for my clients because Jennifer and her family would have been finalists for sure. They valiantly braved 41°F (5°C) cold and dreary weather to take some fun fall family photos.
And of course I can’t resist but post more photos of her kiddos. Grayson, Kennedy, and Ainsley were having so much fun just rolling on the leaves.
Awww little Ainsley even smiled for the camera! Love!
Truthfully, we weren’t sure how long all of us would last but this family brought along plenty of their own sunshine and smiles. I can’t wait to show some more great pics in two weeks (there’s some really cute ones). And don’t go too far ’cause we have another fall e-session sneak peak for you tomorrow.

Happy Monday Everyone! I know everyone here in the States is looking forward to family and friends coming together this weekend for Thanksgiving. So, I have a great way to start out the week – with this sweet family and their adorable daughters Charlie and Maddie! This family is special to us because they’ve been with us pretty much since our beginning and we’ve been watching them pretty much from their beginning too. ♥ It’s surreal thinking back to when we captured them in this very same place when they were only 7 months. Then we caught up with them again at their first birthday. And now look at them – they’re running around!
These two found this bridge that is just their size. I think they could have played all day…perfecting the best way to climb up and slide off.
Maddie would pull out the plant signs and their dad Jeremy, would promptly put it back. Then Maddie would pull it out again and hand it to Jeremy. Charlie & Maddie are always a blast to play with. They would pick up twigs and stones off the ground and either present them as a gift or boldly declare it “Yuck!” Scott and I have been saying the same to each other since that day. LOL
The botanical gardens is always a hit with kids – looks like Charlie is even doing a happy dance.
As the evening drew on and the sunlight began to fade we headed over to the trees to enjoy the fall season and children’s laughter.
Charlie is so sweet! She was even in the mood to give her Mom Katie and twin sister Maddie hugs. *Huuuuugs* ♥
Awww, I miss these two already just looking through the photos. I hope we’ll be sharing more of their adventures in the future. Until then make sure to check out the slideshow on their Event Page and have a great week!

So Karen turned 60 and guess what!? She looks gorgeous and glowing even at 6-0! When Kim, Karen’s eldest, contacted me to cover her surprise birthday celebration, there was no way I was going to miss it. I currently work with Karen, whom I call ‘Kicker mom’, and she is the sweetest and coolest mom and friend you’ll ever meet. Kim had this great plan for her mother’s 60th birthday that included her family and all of her sibling’s family & kids coming to visit and celebrate and have a surprise family photo session for them all.
And this is Joe, Karen’s better half. They have been together for 30 years this year! How awesome is that! Awww ♥ they are always all smiles like this.
Karen’s family was laid back, fun to be around and there were plenty of laughs. We all had so much fun. Everyone just had a good time which is the perfect time to get family photos! These two little ones are Karen’s youngest grandbabies, Peyton & Griswold ♥ Aren’t they so cute!?
Here’s one last photo of Karen and her baby doggie Lucy
Well, I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
