Wedding ~ Matt ♥ Mikka

Happy Saturday folks! We’ve been dying {pun intended} to share this wedding we shot at the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, OK with everyone before the Halloween mood has faded away. Literally we stayed up late last night to get this out! Besides the adorable couple, there are many fabulous and delicious details, so don’t scroll too fast! Enjoy!

My heart skipped a beat when I saw Mikka’s gorgeous dress from Marry Me. I love how the bottom is exploding with ruffles and the cute floral detail on the waist. She paired this ocean of ruffly goodness with a pair of glittery Toms! They are so cute plus they’re perfect for a long night of partying!

The save the dates, invitations, and programs were so fun and fit into their Halloween theme perfectly. What’s even more amazing is that they were created by Mikka’s mother! I love DIY Brides like Mikka!

I loved the dramatic choice of black and purple for these Calvin Klein suits styled with the help of Costumes, Balloons and Stuff here in Stillwater.

Both the ceremony and reception was held in the Marland Mansion. The mansion is magnificent with it’s artwork, marble, and architectural details. The perfect setting for this Halloweeny wedding!

Oh the wedding party looked so great! The boys were sharp in their jet black suits and the girls looked stunning in their flowing gowns from the Bridal Palace. And of course, even on a gloomy day, Mikka was radiant! Oh their bouquets are so beautiful!

I’m so glad that Matt & Mikka did a first glance and not just because it makes the wedding day so much more fun. As you can see Mikka’s wedding dress is amazing! This is definitely a dress that needs it’s own moment {and I guess the couple can have their moment too, lol}.

I loved the feeling that the pumpkins, turning leaves, colours, black tulle, and much more gave to Matt & Mikka’s special day. This fabulous decor was complements of Jay of Jack Samuel Designs. If you want to make a Halloween theme stylish then start pinning because if this isn’t “Halloween chic” then I don’t know what is.

You may remember these two lovebirds from their Gurthrie Antiquing E-session earlier this summer. And if you read their story you may have noted that they’ve been dating for 12 years before tying the knot! If this lovely couple isn’t meant to be together, then none of us have any hope! But I will say that the ring Matt bought Mikka sure made it worth the wait! He’s a smart guy, I don’t think you could go wrong with a Vera Wang ring.

I love organized brides like Mikka and I’m in the same boat when it comes to planning a wedding. There is definitely cause to splurge on the look and feel of your wedding but totally get your family on board with whatever possible. The Halloween candy table and all of the food was prepped and cooked by her parents. I wish we weren’t so busy snapping photos because the spread looked delicious!

The cake was almost too fun to slice up! It looked like it came straight from Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas (my favourite Halloween movie by the way}! A Sweet Success did an amazing job with layers of flavours including red velvet {also one of my favourites!}.

And the groom’s cake is just as awesome don’t you think!? I had to post this next photo. It’s just too funny! ♥

Young and old, just about everyone took at least one spin on the dance floor and the party rocked all night!

Congrats Matt and Mikka! It was so much fun shooting your wedding in this amazing mansion and celebrating this special day with you! It was wonderful meeting you and your families. Make sure to stop by their Client Site and check out the slideshow for more photos. Enjoy the weekend!
