Wedding ~ Kevin ♥ Alethia

Happy Monday folks! We have a fun and colourful wedding to share with you! You may remember this couple from their fun route 66 engagement. Kevin and Alethia are the nicest couple and they just tied the knot!

Alethia’s dress was beautifully sewn by her aunt! What a wonderful wedding gift. I love that it was tea length. The dress is actually fastened by a myriad of buttons down the back. Stunning!

We started off the day at a new bed and breakfast in town called the Cottonwood Inn. I love Alethia’s choice of wedding colours: all of them! Every bridesmaid had a different coloured dress. It’s so cheerful which we needed on this rainy day!

Kevin and Alethia opted for a first glance and wanted to push through with the original plan to do it outside. So Kevin waited in the light rain for his bride to be. I think they were so happy to finally see each other that they totally forgot about the rain. With the rain and last minute decisions to make, I could see a weight lift off both their shoulders once they were together! They make an awesome pair!

The bouquets and boutonniere’s are actually made out of paper! How cool is that! They were exquisitely made by hand by Jenny of The Crimson Poppy.

Alethia is such a pretty bride with a contagious smile! Her hair and makeup was beautifully done by Joy of Fringeclass Hair Company.

All of Kevin and Alethia’s family and friends attended for this enchanting wedding in the woods. Two adorable little boys prepared the crowd with some important signs {really important! he means business! lol}. It lightened the spirit of everyone who attended. You might want to pin this one!

Kevin and Alethia definitely had a lot of twists and turns on their wedding day! It slowly started raining as everyone was getting ready. Rain is good luck on your wedding but not the best sign for an outdoor wedding in the woods. Kevin and Alethia told us that they were determined to get married in the woods no matter what. I love spirited couples, awesome!

Guests were brushing rain drops off seats as they came in but when Kevin and Alethia took eachother’s hands a beam of light shone down through the trees. If that isn’t a sign of a happy joining of a beautiful couple, I don’t know what is. It was a beautiful wedding!

The guests blew bubbles as Kevin and Alethia exited as husband and wife! I love the guys outfits: a rainbow of ties to match the girls and relaxed jeans with classic vests. The fun and relaxed feel of the wedding perfectly matches with this couple’s personalities.

Congratulations you two! And now it’s time to party! Due to the rain the reception was moved inside but what was important to Kevin and Alethia was that they were surrounded by their family and friends. Their fun decorations like the paper flower centerpieces, also made by The Crimson Poppy, brightened up the venue.

Homemade cake…Yummm! And cups could be personalized by simply scratching the black label. Great idea!

Alethia’s sister wrote a poem for her speech which was hilarious! Some great food and great toasts!

Their DJ Russ pumped up an awesome dance party! Everyone was showing off their best moves to the point a dance-off broke out!

Check out the moves of this guy! Is that the…pastor?! I didn’t think this wedding reception could get much more fun but then again I wasn’t expecting a break-dancing pastor!

Good toss Alethia! Now it’s your turn Kevin!

Almost too much fun! The day was definitely magical and there’s a bunch more charming pics that we want to share. Be sure to head on over to the slideshow on their Event Page for more photos. Have an awesome week!
