Wedding ~ Brad ♥ Laura
Happy Saturday everyone! We were off to a wedding yesterday {in the rain no less!}. So, we weren’t able to post this wedding until today. You may remember this couple from their hammock engagement in the park last fall. Well, this fun couple just got married! ♥ Meet Brad & Laura.
Laura is known as the crafty one in her family and it shows. Her mother and sister are the seamstresses of the family and her mom actually made her own wedding dress. Laura wanted to be DIY in her own way, so she made many of the wedding details. She made the personalized ringbox herself.
I love when brides personalize items for their special day. Laura bedazzled one of Brad’s shirts as her ceremonial getting ready garb. But I love her big smile even more. And Laura was so delighted to get another charm for her bracelet from Brad which she wore that day. :)
Laura’s mom sewed matching bags for all of the bridesmaids to help them carry their gear for Laura’s special day and they doubled as bridesmaids’ gifts. She also personalized each one by stitching their names. How sweet!
I love her wedding dress! And this beautiful belt added some vintage glamour into the dress.
Laura was so excited to show off her dress to Brad during their first glance. And she definitely had reason to. This couple is a match made in heaven.
Brad and Laura are big fans of the outdoors and wear sandals everywhere they go. So it just seemed proper to get married in them. How cute! Brad wore his favourite: Chacos. And Laura picked up a cute pair of Sseko sandals and laced them up in red ribbon to tie her ensemble together.
Boy it was a hot sunny day! No worries, Brad and Laura love the sun which is one of the reasons they wanted to get married outdoors. To make sure that their guests weren’t squinting through the I Do’s they provided sunglasses as favours. Smart thinking guys! And to top it off they printed their programs on paper fans so that guests could cool down too.
Here comes the Bride! The couple had their closest friends and families to celebrate this happy day. Her dad couldn’t resist but give his youngest daughter a sweet hug.
And Brad after the kiss, couldn’t resist but give Laura a big big hug! ♥ It was so touching. I almost thought he wouldn’t let her go for a second.
The bridesmaids wore these beautiful earrings which were also a gift from Laura. And they also did their own hair and make-up which I thought turned out pretty darn cute!
The beautiful large gerbera bouquets and boutonnieres came from The Little Shop of Flowers here in town. And this is the best styling of red, black, and white I’ve seen at a wedding so far. It was so hot and windy that day, so we were glad to have found some trees for just a little bit of shade. Her wedding party were so much fun to hang around with.
Laura picked up her cake from Food Pyramid, a local grocery store. I’ve been seeing more and more impressive cakes from there lately and it was delicious! The groom’s cake was iced with Pistol Pete the university mascot. Brad and Laura had a smashing good time {literally} with the cake cutting! It was exciting to see Coke in glass bottles, I think they taste way better.
The fun continued on with their bouquet and garter toss. Then more dancing of course. It’s harder to fling a garter backwards than you would think! It took brad two tries to get it flying. It was pretty funny. Looks like he got it on the second try!
I wouldn’t want to compete with these spritely dancers! Going lower and kicking higher with every song!
As the guests wound down their dancing, Brad and Laura got changed into their travel outfits since they’re heading straight away to their secret honeymoon. Prepare your bubbles because here they come!
Incase you’ve been waiting in anticipation since their sneak peak for where they’re headed for their honeymoon it’s…Riviera Maya, Mexico! Adios Brad and Laura! It was really a fun close knit wedding which we love! So be sure to check out the slideshow on their Event Page for more photos. Have an awesome weekend!
