Engagement ~ Brad & Laura

Hi Lovelies! Can you believe 2011 is about to end very soon!? One more day! Anyway, I have the last engagement session of the year to share with you. And I have to tell you that we had way too much fun with Brad and Laura! They had just finished their final exams and were pumped to get their engagement session done before getting back to Texas for the Holidays. I love that they were so full of energy that day! I love how they came up with ideas on how they want their e-session to be like – laid back and playful, since that describes them a lot. They showed up with their hammock, books, airplane (Brad is an Aerospace Engineering student) and they wanted to do some swinging and playing at the park. Of course we said Yes to all…awesome ideas and their personality definitely shows in the photos! ♥

Brad and Laura’s friendship started when they first met in Chemistry class during Laura’s junior year in high school. Then in 2006, as her senior year was about to start, Brad one day asked Laura to go on a date with him to watch a school basketball game. Mind you Laura hates basketball, but since she was smitten with Brad, off she went. And as you now know, they’ve been inseparable ever since.

This past October 22, Brad decided to have a date day where they can just spend the whole entire day together. How sweet, and Laura was thinking that maybe Brad was going to pop the question so she made sure to look extra pretty. They went to watch a football game, had a fabulous dinner, then went off to the pumpkin patch and picked up two pumpkins so they can do some carving later that night. So after they carved their pumpkins, Brad had a friend distract Laura for a little bit so he can put his planned out proposal into action.

Laura was up for a walk since she was a little frustrated thinking that Brad was going to propose earlier. Brad rushed to the Willard patio carrying the two pumpkins that they just carved and he actually had a secret pumpkin that said Oct. 22 which he had carved earlier that week. He set up the pumpkins, placed candles in them, and waited ’til Laura came back from the rainy walk.

As Laura neared the patio and saw the lighted pumpkins, her heart skipped a beat and she knew instantly that Brad was going to ask her. With too much excitement she hugged her friend and headed straight over to Brad to hug him too. As every gentleman would do, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and of course she said Yes!

As always don’t forget to visit their Event Page for more of their fun e-session photos! Happy 2012! ♥
