Engagement ~ Brandon ♥ Katy

Welcome back friends! I have been so excited to post this engagement shoot, that I’ve even been impatient with myself, LOL. Meet the sweet and kind-hearted Katy and Brandon. We traveled to the old capital of Oklahoma for this wonderful session.

Katy is artistic and stylish and, along with her mom, loves vintage things. Katy came up with the absolutely fantastic idea of doing an urban shoot in Guthrie. There was a western bank robbery street play that was going on close to where we had the session. We saw part of it and was amused.

Ah the buildings are so neat and beautiful! Katy loves browsing the antique shops which we totally understand. When we scouted out the town the week before, we spent waaaaay too much time self-indulging in the shops. Oh and there was one shop with a wall filled with old cameras. I was in heaven! ♥

Love the American Gothic rendition! And love love love the settee. I am planning to go back and buy the one that they are sitting on. I am so glad the owners of these shops were kind enough to allow us to take some photos inside. ;) Katy has wonderful ideas already for her wedding and we can’t wait for their special day in May. I could talk to Katy for hours about all her details. It’s going to be another beautiful wedding in the Enchanted Woods and it’s going to be chalked full of vintage goodness ♥

Brandon is so caring and obviously makes Katy so happy. He spent his high school years admiring Katy from afar. But as fate would have it, they didn’t get acquainted until their senior year in High School. They’ve been inseparable ever since.

We were having so much fun on the shoot, exploring Guthrie together, that we almost missed lunch. So, on Brandon’s recommendation, we headed over to Stables Café. I could not have wished for of a place with better food or ambiance. It had that fun small town diner feel and of course I couldn’t help but snap a few more shots before the food was up.

Well check out more of their photos on their Event Page. I had such a hard time picking the ones that should go on the blog versus the slideshow. They were all just so fun and wonderful! Oh and I love the song that goes with the slideshow, so take a listen to it. ♥ Happy Wednesday y’all and I hope you have a good one!
