I am just feeling so all over the place today. I had a busy morning, a wistful afternoon, and a bittersweet night. I survived – I guess that’s all that matters right!? At least there’s a better tomorrow to look forward to. This is life, and yes I embrace it with open arms. Some days are better than the others. And it has been gloomy here lately but there is still something beautiful to look at despite rain clouds hovering over my head.
And then life moves on. And you just have to go with it. And live it. ♥ For a very close friend.

The art of losing isn’t hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster,
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my mother’s watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three beloved houses went.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.
I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn’t a disaster.
— Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan’t have lied. It’s evident
the art of losing’s not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) a disaster.
I had so much fun taking photos of Baby Ryker last month and as you can see from his photos, he is absolutely adorable. So, you can imagine how excited I was to have the cuteness triple when his two cousins came up to visit. I was so excited to capture the three of them enjoying a perfect spring day in the local parks here in town. As soon as we got to the pond Brayden couldn’t wait to climb the trees! And I could immediately see how Darian and Brayden’s gymnastic classes have paid off as they balanced on the up-grown roots with ease. Brayden also loves soccer and hopes to play football in a year or two. Darian uses the gymnastics to improve her dance classes that includes ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. These two definitely stay active and it was fun trying to keep up with them to capture the action! After feeding the ducks at the pond, we were off to the park. As mentioned in the Sneak Peek, the trip to the playground has some special significance. When Razonia was still pregnant with Ryker, she would drive past this park often, and describe the park to him and how fun it will be when he is old enough to play on the slides and swing set. This was Ryker’s first trip of many to the park and what better way could it have been spent than with his cousins :)
I love Ryker’s reaction here. I felt like he was making a funny face.
Isn’t Darian so pretty!?
Baby Ryker loves to nap. Anywhere.
Brayden, showing off his gymnastic moves.
Yes, they are making some funny faces. I enjoyed every bit of it!
They both are very sweet!
Doesn’t it look like so much fun!?! And they all have awesome smiles ;) I hope everyone is having a great Saturday!
Have you ever had Indian or Persian food? I dare you to try it…mmm it is super good! I go to this Indian/Persian restaurant, Sultan’s, about twice a week to have lunch or dinner. They serve a variety of food everyday such as chicken tikka masala (everyone’s favorite), chicken curry, vegetable korma, lamb curry, mater paneer, goat curry, samosa, dolma, veggie spring rolls with mango chutney, and eggplant curry (this one is to die for!) with naan and rice. It is one of my favorite restaurants in town. It’s just a neat little place ran by an Iranian lady named Lili who has lived in town for about 35 years. She actually started serving food as a favor to the Middle Eastern or Indian college students so that they can have a taste of home. Aside from the restaurant, she also has an international market where you can buy lots of international food and goods, and then there’s a hookah lounge at the back of the building. And we are deeply honored that she asked us to put some of our work up on her wall. Pretty sweet!
I actually call her Mother Lili because she is like a mother to us even though we are not her biological kids. Sometimes we will sit and talk into the wee hours of the night drinking Persian tea and munching on cream puffs. We actually had fun watching some movies during dinner awhile ago. She can be very funny at times and be very resolute but in a good way. We love her so much for her warm heart and caring soul. I have to say she is a pretty cool mom! So if you are local, come and stop by her restaurant and have some delicious food. And if you are not local then check out the best Indian restaurant in town, you have got to try it! Not everything is spicy. Support your local everything! Happy Wednesday ;)
Scott and I are very thankful and happy for all the likes and warm greetings that you sent our way. Thank you so so much from the bottom of our hearts for caring and for all the love ♥ We feel truly blessed to have you as our friends or be connected in the blogosphere. We would be so ecstatic to meet you someday! We had an awesome time Friday just driving around, shopping, and we had some Korean wraps for lunch, some dessert and coffee. Us time. No stress.
So we gave each other our gifts and I can be really practical sometimes when it comes to gift-giving. So I actually bought him a whole new outfit; shoes, dress pants, and dress shirt. Yeah, I know, these gifts sound boring to some but I absolutely love looking at him all nicely dressed up and handsome. I do, so why not buy something useful right?! He’s not big into sports, or video games, or watches anyway. But Scott on the other hand always comes up with the neatest little gifts for me, he always does! So what did I get!?! An enamel Polaroid camera necklace with Swarovski crystal and the cutest thing is that you can slide out the Polaroid film and there I saw our wedding photo. Now how cool is that!?! Yes, he is awesome! I love love love it! I don’t know how he comes up with gifts like these, but even without it I feel so blessed that I’m happily married to him.
This reminds me too that I need to buy more Polaroid film soon. Thank you again for all the love and have a fun weekend!
It’s crazy how it seems like time just flies by so fast. Just 4 years ago I met this guy in Math class at the university, sat beside him for a month without even saying a word to him. He seemed nice when I decided to talk to him one day in the hallway while he was munching on some carrots. I actually told him that by his stature he looks like he should be a pilot and not a Math major. He thought that was funny. He biked to school a lot or rode the bus. He seemed content about everything. He was really nice and kind and we did our math homework together at coffee shops. He loves his coffee for sure. And I have to admit that he is really really good at Math and Stat…better than me ;) Oh did I mention that he can cook pretty well too and he bakes the most awesome black forest cake and carrot cake!?! So yes, we became the best of friends from then on.
Two years ago, I married my best friend. At a flower atrium in Canada. It was nice and warm in the atrium but it was -12F outside with knee-high snow. I designed my own flower petals-inspired dress and had it made and shipped from the Philippines. It was actually cheaper that way, trust me. We loved our wedding topper so much, it is so us! We just had a simple wedding with close friends and families. And we sang our vows. Also, we didn’t really have a professional wedding photographer but we told everyone to just bring their cameras and take lots of photos. It was the happiest day in my life! He is still the same boy that I sat beside with in Math class. Same laugh. Same smile. He still gives me butterflies in my tummy to this day ♥ So this coming Friday, the 18th, is our 2-year wedding anniversary. Yay! I am so happy and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my years with him. I love you babe and thank you for being you=awesome! ♥

I’m so excited to share with you the latest photos of baby Ryker, especially since this time he’s joined by his cousins who came all the way from Texas. His cousins Darian, 10, and Brayden, 8, are the best cousins that Ryker could have asked for. They are definitely bright, fun, and energetic kids. It was so enjoyable taking part in a leisurely Saturday morning with them feeding the ducks, blowing bubbles, and taking a quick trip to a playground. They even looked so cute in their matching outfits! Love it! This was actually Ryker’s first trip to the park. If you don’t remember adorable baby Ryker, you definitely need to catch up by taking a look at his 5-week-old photos that we took exactly one month ago. He’s growing up so fast and it’s such a treat to have witnessed his growing up since the beginning. Today was a fun day – a day meant to be spent in the park. As the sun shone and a pleasant breeze blew, it was nice enough to sit and watch kids run around. Personally, I think on days like this, it is more fun to run around with them.
Happy Tuesday! I feel like it should be Friday by now…hahaha I know! Anyway, this past few weeks have been busy for me with my real job and the photo shoots in between. But I have to tell you, that I am surely loving all this busyness of meeting clients and taking their photos. Capturing those happy moments. It makes me so happy just watching kids play or couples in love or a family laughing and spending time together. I really do love this feeling, it makes me all giddy and delighted. I wish everyday is like this! How nice would it be if I had my photography job full time!?! I think I will like that! Travel the world, see places, meet new people, capture smiles, photograph their happy times, eat cake, lots of cake! That’s one job to daydream on for sure. But for now, I will sit and sip my hot tea and be content with what I have; daydream some but live for the now. I’m lucky enough to be able to travel with my day job, so I’m not complaining. I believe that all things will fall into place when the right time comes. A girl could dream right?!
To love yourself right now, just as you are, is to give yourself heaven.

I spent an enjoyable Sunday afternoon with Shannon, Kris, sweet Libby and soon to be Brooksley at a pond that can be found here in town enjoying the sunshine, feeding the ducks, and blowing bubbles. When I stopped by the pond quickly yesterday it was a bit too windy and chilly for my taste. But Mother Nature must have seen my fingers crossed because today the wind calmed down a bit and the sun shone brightly to warm us just enough to call it a pleasant spring afternoon. The cool breeze brought a fresh newness to the air which marked the coming of the new season and new addition to this charming family.
